STEP import

Ribbon: Insert > Import > Step/Iges settings ()

Toolbar: Insert > Step/Iges settings

Keyboard: IGESSTEPOPTIONS

This dialog allows to choose in which way the Step or Iges files are imported.
(these informations are stored in the porgeCAD registry)

AVAILABLE OPTIONS

CONVERSION:

Quick (no color): The elements are converted into Solid entities. Colors information are not imported. This is the fastest procedure.
Normal: The elements are converted in toSolid entities, and also the original colors are imported, where possible. Please note that this procedure can be very slow.
Surface: Where the conversion to Solid entities generates a not correct result, it's possible to use the conversion to Surfaces entities. In this case the colors importation is not supported.

Zoom on object: after conversion, the generated entities are zoomed.
Force Global UCS: after the conversion the Global UCS is activated.
